About me

Grace, at the harp.

I was 10 the first time I saw a harp. It was Christmastime and my family was out shopping for some last-minute gifts when we stumbled upon a woman playing the harp in front of a department store. I was mesmerized! The music was so beautiful, so different from anything I had heard before. I was hooked and have been playing ever since.

Growing up in Kansas, I studied with Wesley Kelly, principal harpist of the Kansas City Ballet and Lyric Opera. During my undergraduate career at BYU, I studied harp with Jessica Wood and then went on to earn a Master of Music in harp performance from the University of Utah in 2017, studying with Dr. Cathy Clayton.

I've called Utah home since 2008. I am frequently substitute for local community orchestras and enjoy creating arrangements for and performing with harp ensembles and flute and harp duets.

Away from the harp, I enjoy cooking, polishing my French skills (my bachelor's and first master's degree are in French Studies!), and teaching fitness classes.

Starting in August 2018, I began a new adventure: law school!

I am currently in my first year at BYU's J. Reuben Clark School of Law.
